SKETCHING AS A LIFESTYLE:
EXPERIENCE A MUSEUM
BRUSSELS, BELGIUM, 14.05.2022
Let sketching become part of your lifestyle and experience a museum in a different manner!
Spend a happy Saturday with sketchbook, music, colors and good company!
Riga Sketching School comes to Brussels and this time our theme is
Sketching as a lifestyle: experience a museum.
Life is as beautiful as deep we allow ourselves to immerse in it. To see, to hear, to touch, to smell, to taste. All those senses makes us feel more alive, more connected to this world and to ourselves.
We want to share with you our passion for sketching. Seeing the world with a sketchbook has become part of our lifestyle. Watercolor sketching is our way of experiencing the world and we are always happy to share this approach to everyone wishing to try.
This time we are very happy to invite you to experience a Musical Instrument Museum in Brussels, Belgium (https://www.mim.be/en) through sketching. We will look at musical instruments, listen to them, feel the paper and brushes in our fingertips, then will experience Mont des Arts area and buildings through drawing them.

Meet The Team
I am Agnese Aljena, sketcher, illustrator, paintmaker and photographer, based in Riga, Latvia. Drawing was a kind of personal experiment for me, brought to urban sketching and now I am happy to be a part of Riga Sketching School and make sketching viral as a lifestyle and way of being. Drawing has become a significant part of my life and I feel like I have found a way back to my roots. It makes me to stop, to feel the world and life at all its beauty.
Hi, my name is Masha Zurikova. I'm a freelance illustrator, painter and sketcher currently based in Brussels, Belgium. I am convinced that beauty is everywhere. The most important thing is to be able to find inspiration in any ordinary event and to follow your heart. I am painting with oil and watercolors to show my vision of the natural beauty. I make illustrations and fast sketches of everyday life. Urban sketching is very important part of my self-exploration and self-expression journey, that always reminds me to stay mindful and seize the moment.
